Winter Aromatherapy Tips

soak your feet

At the first sign of a cold or flu, soak your feet, up to your ankles, in hot water.  Mix 10 drops of Immune Support essential oil with ½ cup of Epsom salts and add it to the water.

rub your feet to sleep

If you are prone to insomnia, rub Sleep Time body oil onto the soles of your feet, then put on a pair of cozy socks and rest with a hot water bottle on your abdomen until you doze off

take a breath break

The best way to stay healthy is to keep breathing!  Stand with your feet a little wider than hip-width.  Put 3 drops of Winter Blend essential oil into the palm of your hand, rub hands together and breathe deeply.  Do this for 10 breaths.  It’s a quick energizer.

spruce up your shower

After you are done showering turn off the water and put 1 teaspoon of Adrenal Support Body Oil on your hands.  The essential oils in this blend – Pine, Rosemary and Litsea Cubeba, are energizing, could help protect your immune system and they support the adrenal glands, which suffer when we get tired from the winter weather and lack of light.  Spread the oil all over your skin from head to toe (except the mucous membranes).

The people who get sick in the winter are those who are stressed out.  To stay healthy, make an effort to activate the relaxation response every single day.

  • When you get home, burn 6 drops of either Alegria (JOY) essential oil in your aromatherapy burner.
  • Take a warm bath with ¼ cup of SERENO Bath Soak
  • Do meditation  at least once a week

welcome the sunshine with aromatherapy!

Put a couple of drops of Citrus Delight Essential Oil Blend (Orange, Grapefruit, Lemon) on a tissue and smell from it through the day.
