The Key to Soft, Smooth Legs is Essential Oils!

Pretty woman's legs with luxury red silk sheet

If you’re like me, you love spending time outside on a warm afternoon in your favorite pair of shorts.  The only thing that can drag one of these days down is legs that are inflamed, irritated, and speckled with ingrown hairs from shaving or waxing!

Every time you shave your legs, you’re scraping a razor over your skin — stripping off protective cells and natural moisture in the process.  When you wax, you’re ripping the hair right out of your skin.   Even if you don’t have sensitive skin, either of these methods can easily turn into a recipe for disaster.  There’s always a risk for ingrown hairs and other little red bumps to develop.

So, how do you fight back?

You've got to condition your legs!  If you want legs that are silky smooth, you've got to do two very important things -- exfoliate and soothe.

I've got a great recipe for a pre-shave scrub that will get rid of the dead skin cells that can lead to ingrown hairs and other irritation.

To make this scrub at home, combine:

-  1 cup sugar

-  ½ cup olive oil

-  20 drops of Lavender Essential Oil

-  8 drops of Geranium Essential Oil

-  2 drops of German Chamomile Essential Oil

  shaving ingredients

I chose the essential oils in this recipe very carefully.  Here's why they're so useful:

1) All of them have natural anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties.  As a result, you won't have to worry about your legs getting irritated and inflamed.

2) They help skin cells regenerate.  The faster your skin can heal itself from the razor or wax, the less likely you are to see redness and irritation.

Scrub your legs gently with this mixture before shaving or waxing, and you'll be able to kiss that dry, flaky skin goodbye!

Skin Conditioner

Now that you know how to exfoliate, let's go over the best way to soothe your legs after you're done shaving or waxing.  Here's my recipe for skin conditioner:

juego productos 2

-  1 bottle of Therapeutic Carrier Oil

-  20 drops of Lavender Essential Oil

-  10 drops of Geranium Essential Oil

-  5 drops of German Chamomile Essential Oil

Massage this mixture into your legs once a day to soothe your skin and prevent ingrown hairs from developing.  Here's why the essential oils in this recipe are so important:

  • Geranium is an uplifting oil that will prevent your skin from developing irritation
  • Lavender is a soothing oil, so it will calm your skin down after its "trauma"
  • German Chamomile is another soothing oil that's often used to eliminate itching
