Hello and welcome to the Aromatherapy Blog. I have been enthralled with scents my whole life. You could definitely say it is my passion or the calling of my spirit. All my childhood memories are associated with the scents of Ecuador, my homeland. The scent of Palo Santo that fills the churches in Ecuador is of particular significance to me. My first career was as a travel agent before I knew I could have a profession as a scent therapist or Aromatherapist. When I did find out about Aromatherapy, I was like a child and finally I knew, without a doubt, what I was going to be when I grew up. I embarked on an Aromatherapy education after an amazing experience I had with using essential oils. My husband and I were longing to have a child, but were unable to conceive. For 4 years we tried everything available with no results. It was then that I was reading about Aromatherapy and its therapeutic benefits to the hormonal system and decided to use the essential oils they suggested for fertility. My husband and I stopped doing anything else and just used the essential oil blends I made. In one month I conceived and we are very proud parents of a very health teenage boy. Shortly thereafter in 1997, I went back to school and became a professional Aromatherapist. In 1998 I received a Complementary Health Education Diploma in Aromatherapy from the Kevala Center in the U.K., and advanced my studies in 1998 when I took the International Training Program in Essential Oils at Purdue University in Indiana. I have successfully used Aromatherapy for every condition throughout my son’s life. He has never had a major infection and therefore never had to take prescription drugs including antibiotics. I have more than 18 years of experience formulating aromatherapy products for the spa, fitness and hospitality industry. I have spoken on countless radio and television shows to both North and South American audiences on the health benefits of Aromatherapy as well as in seminars and workshops.
