Aromatherapy Massage — It’s Truly a Full-Body Treatment!

Posted: June 5, 2017 by Cristina Proano-Carrion

Science has confirmed numerous times what your muscles already knew — there are few things that feel better than a massage.  The right touch can lead to big physical benefits, including lower blood pressure, better sleep, and a stronger immune system.  Some hospitals even use massage as a go-to treatment for helping their patients relax, relieving their insomnia, and minimizing their pain.

As an added benefit, easing away all of that muscular tension can also reduce the tension in your mind.  Neuropsychology experts say that a lack of physical touch can lead to depression, aggression, and hyperactivity.  In fact, a good massage can have such a strong impact on your mental well-being that it’s the one instance where you’ll gladly be touched by someone who you don’t know very well (or at all!).

But as powerful as the physical and emotional benefits can be, there’s a way to make your next massage even better — by turning it into an aromatherapy massage.

What exactly does that entail?

An aromatherapy massage combines essential oils with the soothing touch you’re used to.  You won’t just enjoy a fresh scent, though.  Inhaling will allow the oils inside your body, where they can start to help you from the inside out.  At the same time, the oils will absorb into your skin.  Once they reach the inner layer of skin that houses your capillaries, they’ll be able to circulate through your body in your blood.
These are some big body-wide benefits:
pain relief
better circulation
elimination of any excess fluids you’re retaining
relief from uncomfortable menstrual symptoms

Here at Aromandina, we know just how dramatic the effects of an aromatherapy massage can be, so we’ve formulated special essential oil blends that can treat specific physical issues, including:

–  Circulation Body Oil

–  Detoxing Body Oil

–  Sleep Time Body Oil

–  Women’s Help Body Oil

–  Pain Begone Body Oil

–  Adrenal Support Body Oil

The key to these formulations (and ANY essential oils you may want to use during a massage) is diluting them with a carrier oil.  A rule of thumb for healthy adults is no more than 60 drops per 4 oz of carrier oil.  We use Fractionated Coconut Oil, Golden Jojoba, and Tamanu Oil.

Massage therapy is one holistic treatment that can actually prevent problems before they start.  By eliminating all of that muscular tension, you can prevent physical problems from getting worse — or even showing up in the first place!  Mentally, relieving tension can eliminate those emotions that are holding you back from living a happy life.

Bottom line — when you combine massage therapy with all of the benefits that essential oils can bring, you get to take advantage of a very powerful 1-2 punch!

Want to make sure that your next massage is as rejuvenating as possible?  Bring your massage therapist your favorite blend from Aromandina, and enjoy complete relaxation — in both your body and your mind!
