Well, not really, but once Spring comes with its beautiful weather, for many the dreaded allergy season starts too.
And we all know the symptoms, right? Runny nose, watery/itchy eyes, constant sneezing. The allergy alarm bells go off thanks to the dry, fine and powdery pollen coming from trees like oak, birch and ash.
Also very important to consider is that stress is known to play a very important role in predisposing people to respond allergically.
The aromatherapy approach to allergy is to employ essential oils that have a noticeable physical relieving effect and that at the same time are calming and soothing. While this treatment will not cure the susceptibility to the allergen, the symptoms can be minimized or they can be more bearable.
My favorite oils for allergies are Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia), Blue Chamomile (Matricaria recutita)and Niaouli (Melaleuca viridiflora) and they are all carefully put together in Aromandina’s Allergy Calm essential oil and Allergy Calm Roll On.
Just follow these steps:
- Put 3 drops of Allergy calm Essential Oil on a washcloth. Take the washcloth to the shower.While showering, place the washcloth on your chest and allow the heat of the shower to release the vapors of the essential oil.
- After the shower, mix 1 tablespoon coconut oil with 6 drops of Allergy Calm Essential Oil and apply with massage in the hollow below the collarbone next to the breastbone and your arms, from the wrist to the shoulder in upper movements.
- Roll Allergy Calm Roll On on the face: the sinus area, the side of each nostril, the bottom of the cheekbones and the base of the skull. Press these points with your fingertips.
You can keep your Allergy Calm Roll On at hand and use it freely during the day.
While this treatment will not cure the susceptibility to the allergen, the symptoms can be minimized or they can be more bearable.
