On our Facebook Page we asked our friends if there was any new tip they would like to learn, here’s a very appropriate question for this time of the year:
“I’d like to hear more about traveling with Aromatherapy. Home is taken care of, but when I travel out of town, all I know to do is bring my diffuser. Any other tips/tricks/gadgets that work well for us travelers?”
Helpful Essential Oils:
Eucalyptus Radiata: antiseptic, antibacterial, great to open the sinuses and to help you breathe better
Lavender: calming, antiseptic, refreshing, great for burns and cuts
Lemon: refreshing, uplifting, nourishes your heart
Peppermint: great for jet lag, motion sickness, bad breath, headaches
Here are some simple tips for you:
1) Keep germs and contagious diseases at bay:
Before you travel, either by car, train or plain, put 2 drops of Eucalyptus, Lavender and Tea Tree on a tissue and insert it in a plastic bag. Keep it handy and breathe from it as often as you like.
Place under nose and inhale. I love this method because it’s not aggressive and it won’t bother the person sitting next to you.
2) Create a clean and cozy atmosphere at the hotel room.
I’m sorry but the idea that a stranger slept at the hotel room before me makes me nervous. As soon as I arrive I use this very unconventional method of scent diffusion.
I like to use any of my favorite oils (sometimes just a citrus oil, sometimes one of my blends, sometimes just lavender).
If you want to pick one of them I’d recommend lemon essential oil, it’s clean, refreshing and happy and it will send you the message that you are home!
